James Ingle
Over three years of tutoring, I've worked with students from middle school through college — pre-algebra, calculus, differential equations, linear algebra, physics, chemistry, biology. The approach is always the same: build genuine understanding, not just enough to survive the next test.
In math especially, I focus on making the abstract feel inevitable. Most students learn procedures without the underlying logic — and that works until it suddenly doesn't. I try to fill those gaps before they become walls.
On the test prep side, I scored a 36 on the ACT. More importantly, I know exactly what separates students who plateau from those who keep climbing. It's rarely about content — it's about understanding how the test is constructed.
Most students don't have a knowledge problem — they have a handful of specific topics and question types where they keep getting tripped up. My job is to find those and fix them. Before our first session you'll send me recent work or a practice test, and I'll build a plan around your actual gaps. Sessions are 60–90 minutes, focused, and end when we're done.
I work with a small number of students at a time so each one gets real attention. If you want someone who will actually invest in your progress, let's talk.
